Features & Functionality

What types of evidence can Project Revelare process?

Project Revelare can process over 50 file types, including documents, images, archives, audio files, video files, and many more. The platform supports recursive archive extraction, OCR for images, audio transcription, and automated processing of common forensic file formats. Advanced IOC extraction identifies 20+ indicator types from processed evidence.

What is IOC extraction?

IOC (Indicator of Compromise) extraction automatically identifies and extracts various types of indicators from your evidence, including IP addresses, email addresses, URLs, file hashes, credit card numbers, social security numbers, phone numbers, cryptocurrency addresses, and geographic coordinates. This helps you quickly identify relevant information during investigations.

What is link analysis?

Link analysis is a visualization feature that maps connections between cases, evidence items, and indicators. It helps you understand relationships between different pieces of your investigation, revealing patterns and connections that might not be immediately obvious when examining evidence in isolation. This is especially valuable for complex investigations involving multiple cases or subjects.

Can I use Project Revelare for production investigations?

The Professional tier provides full case management capabilities suitable for real investigations. However, you should always ensure compliance with your organization's policies and applicable regulations before using any tool for production work. We recommend reviewing our terms of service and consulting with your legal or compliance team as needed.

Security & Privacy

How secure is my data?

Security is our top priority. Project Revelare is built with enterprise-grade security features, including end-to-end encryption for sensitive data, secure authentication with multi-factor authentication support, comprehensive audit trails, and CJIS-compliant security controls. We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your data and cases.

Is Project Revelare CJIS compliant?

Project Revelare is designed with CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) compliance in mind, featuring strong password requirements, multi-factor authentication, comprehensive audit logging, secure file handling, and role-based access control. However, compliance depends on many factors including your specific configuration and use case. We recommend consulting with your compliance team.

Who can access my cases and evidence?

Only you and users you explicitly grant access to can view your cases and evidence. We use role-based access control to ensure that data is only accessible to authorized users. All access is logged in comprehensive audit trails. We do not access your cases or evidence except as necessary to provide technical support, and then only with your explicit permission.

Where is my data stored?

Project Revelare is built on Cloudflare Workers and D1 Database, providing global edge computing performance with secure, distributed data storage. Data is stored securely with encryption at rest and in transit. We maintain backups and use industry-standard security practices to protect your data.
